Tough Bloke comp is on in just over two weeks and I have to admit that I have not trained nearly enough to be in any way competitive. I am still looking forward to it, I think it will be fantastic fun even if I am am going to be in all kinds of pain on the day and quite some time after as well I imagine!
I have been spending quite a bit of time (time I should have been training) in my garden and it’s coming along very nicely. I have been planting and sowing seeds in line with the Luna cycle and I am very interested to see if my yield rate is greater because of it. I have also been using my home made seaweed liquid fertiliser, which stinks to high heaven but I get my kicks from knowing it is organic. Currently growing spinach, carrots, parsnips, peas, snow peas, chillies, egg plants, strawbs, shallots and lettuce amongst a bucket load of herbs. I wish I had more space to grow more things. I am thinking of putting in potatoes and a few other things in the back paddock but there are horses and heaps of Kangaroos so what ever goes out there will probably just get eaten. I’m feeling very inspired by home grown food, organic and recycled products and second hand clothing in an attempt to reduce my carbon footprint. I am trying to consume less and contribute more.
